Title: Re: [WhatsUp Forum] ATT Wireless SMS
You should be able to send a numeric page to the phone. We send numeric codes to both phones and pagers when critical devices go down. We send different numeric codes for each critical device. Our list of critical devices include Exchange servers, PIX Internet firewall, and some core switches and routers (basically anything that would stop email from flowing).

Hi There,

This is what I found on inforad website.

As of 8/31/03 AT&T is no longer supporting TAP. Use SMTP (E-mail) to send text  messages to your AT&T phone.

hmmm, so does that means if your Internet connection goes down and you're relying on a dial up notification from WUG to tell you this not-so-insignificant factoid, it can't go to an AT&T Wireless recipient?  That sux.

At one time, I believe I had it working intermittently using _Default
TAP with  1 800 841-8837.  You may want to try different baud rates also.

I no longer have any alert recipients using AT&T Wireless.  They've
switched to Sprint and now to Centennial.

Hope this is helpful
