I'm looking for some ideas on how to summarize alerts, especially when sending to our SMS cell phones. If we have several devices behind a network router and the network router fails we are getting half a dozen alerts. This makes for a lot of confusion when trying to figure out what exactly is failing. This also goes for a server with several services being monitored, if the server is down we will get the service down plus the device down. I would rather just get the device down alert than the 4 or 5 service alerts.
