Ok, I have a couple of questions, and I hope someone here can help. First off, I have several services that seem to alarm a LOT, and cant figure out a way to stop the constant alarms on these services. I would like to set the services in question to only poll every few minutes, instead of every minute, as they seem to do now. However, I still need the servers they exist on to poll every minute. Is there some way to change the frequency of polls to a specifice service? I see that you can change the frequency of polling on an entire device, but not a service.
Next question, is there some way to poll for failures on a specific port? We need, as part of our security monitoring, to poll for ports that have been left open. Say, for example that we were to build a new server and a step were missed or otherwise left out by one of our admins, and a commonly abused port were left open, or should our filtering software go down, we would like to have an alert for this. Any help will be appreciated.
