Bobby,

I've hade pretty good luck using the following setup:

1. Install Windows SNMP Service on server to be monitored
2. Configure SNMP Community names in Windows SNMP Service on server to
be monitored
3. Install latest version of Dell Open Management Server Agent onto
server to be monitored
4. Compile latest Dell MIBS into What's Up Gold using mibextra on WUG
server
5. On WUG server, using Net Tools SNMP TAB and selecting get All
Subitems, do a GET on OID 1.3.6.1.4.1.674

This will dump out everything that you can query for the particular DELL
system. Anything with a NULL value you can't query, but all others you
can.

Then, just pick and choose what you want to monitor, create said
services in WUG. Test by causing trouble (puling out drive from RAID
array, unplugging one of the redundant power supplies, pulling out a
fan, and so on and so on

Hope this helps,

Scott

Bobby,

You will want to consider using www.snmp-informant.com for the MIBs. I
have had very limited success with the Dell PE MIBs.
