Ok SNMP gurus out there..... I am having an issue with monitoring CPU percent utilization on W2K servers with multiple processors.
I have installed the proper mibs for measuring W2K servers and can collect data for cpuPercentProcessorTime from both CPU's (1.3.6.1.4.1.311.1.1.3.1.1.2.1.3.1.48&1.3.6.1.4.1.311.1.1.3.1.1.2.1.3.1.49) but the problem is one reads high (100) all of the time while the other reads low (2-3%). Yet, when I run perfmon on the same server and monitor Processor\% Processor Time I get wildly different values - usually only around 5-10%. I have checked this on 2 different servers.... Does anyone know why and/or if there is a better way to use SNMP to get similar results to perfmon or, hard to believe, is the Microsoft perfmon tool as flaky as everything else? All I want is an accurate SNMP view of my CPU loads! Thanks! Scott Please visit http://www.ipswitch.com/support/mailing-lists.html to be removed from this list.
