Sure... I can be more specific.  Here are my first desirables:

1.  I do not want the "Top View" view available to my users.
2.  The first map I would like served is my world map from which my users can click on containers to go to the next level down and so on.
3.  I would like the ability to change the menu list on the right.
4.  I would like to modify the roll-up process from lower level devices to upper level containers... such as the way HP OpenView does it.  Not sure this one is possible.

I believe I am going to have to write all new .asp apps that will be called from default.asp.  As I mentioned I am not conversant in html, http or asp so I maybe way off base but I have be studying the existing .asp files and believe this can be done.  What do you think?

yes it is possible to change the order of maps. Can you be more specific on what you want. Currently whatsup goes to a table format but that can be changed slightly.

[WhatsUp Forum] Web interface start page...

Let me start by saying that I am not knowledgeable in html/http/asp but I am willing to learn if necessary.  What I am try to accomplish is to change the starting page that is displayed with the web interface comes up in WUG 8.0 so that the topview list is not an option and, instead, a world map is displayed that is the upper most level of a set of maps and diagrams that comprise our network.

Here are a couple of questions I have come up with to start with...

1. Has this been done?

2. When the web interface is activated, what order are the various files read (default.asp, map.asp, topview.asp... so on)?

3. Are the names of the files in this start sequence hardcoded or can the names be changed?
