The URL format given below may or may not work depending upon what security
patches are installed on your system and what web browser you are using.
The February 2004 update for Internet Explorer Service Pack 1 (KB832894)
removed the ability to embed usernames & passwords in the URL. This
functionality can be added back in by modifying the registry, but it would
have to be done on every system that would be using a URL with this format.

Here's the information on how to add this functionality back in:

Subject: [WhatsUp Forum] Modifying Login Prompt of Web Launch

Hi Everyone,

Does anyone know if there is a way to modify the login prompt of the whatsup
web page when it is launched. I want to be able to "auto-fill" the prompt
box with a username and password for the guest accounts.

Thanks,

Alfredo
