The following are a couple of pages we developed for use by our
BlackBerrys. We are using 72xx series devices with a BES 3.6
installation. These pages were designed to provide a drill down
approach. The first page (rimTopView.asp) provides a quick synopsis of
the associated maps, and the ability to drill down to see more details.
None of the pages have any management functions. They were only
designed for read-only reports for IT and management. They will allow
you to ping/trace route to your device. However, remember that the
trace route operates from the BES server and not the BB.

At some point in the future, I might add some basic admin functions, but
as typical I'm understaffed and over worked and something has to give :)

You'll need to enable the Mobile Data Services for your account on the
BB server, and utilize the BlackBerry Browser to access the pages.

I setup a special BB user on WhatsUp Gold with a simple username and
password, so typing the information on the BB could be done easy. As I
mentioned earlier, the pages are only read-only so simple credentials
were ok for me... Your call.

I'd love to see the pages for the blackberry as well.

Thanks

My nextel works fine. I believe you need the MDS to render the ASP
pages though with TMO/ATT/Cingular/etc... Nextel does this with ther
service already.

>>> [EMAIL PROTECTED] 6/28/2004 11:13:20 AM >>>
I use Nextel, they offer a public version of MDS, MDG, as well as the
option for corporations to use the Blackberry Enterprise server. I can
display .wml on my blackberry by default, can WUG serve it? Is that
what the MDS does?
If I need to get on a Blackberry Enterprise server I will, but I just
wanted to verify the details.
