You refer to traps but I assume that what you really mean is monitoring of OIDs using SNMPMon.
The NULL value will be received when querying an OID that is invalid on the target system. If using SNMPMon, then the Debug log will report something like this: SNMPMON [Bogus OID] OID:1.3.6.1.4.1.311.1.1.3.1.1.2.1.3.6.95.84.111.116.97.108 on IP:xxx SNMPMON ERROR: Error SNMP: No such name The solution is to query 1.3.6.1.4.1.9600 OIDs, not 1.3.6.1.4.1.311 OIDs. The Knowledgebase article gives an example for CPU. But, when try to configure traps for Memory and CPU Utilization I coul not succeed. http://support.ipswitch.com/kb/WG-20020522-DM01.htm. If I give Memory (1.3.6.1.4.1.311.1.1.3.1.1.1.30.0)/CPU (1.3.6.1.4.1.311.1.1.3.1.1.2.1.3.6.95.84.111.116.97.108)OIDs in Net Tools It returns "NULL". The same above OIDs(DiskSpace/Memory/CPU) are woking fine for another Test server2.I'm not able to understand why only Memory&CPU are not working for TestServer1 where as Diskspace trpas are working fine. Pls let me know If any solution for this problem.
