Hi,
I’m trying to monitor TCP sessions on a server where I know what source IP address should be connected to the server and when; i.e. between 6:30 and 18:00, source IP address 172.10.10.10 should be connected. If the connection drops I want an alert as it means critical downtime for that client.
Does anyone know how to do this. I have tried to use tcpConnState, but once the connection is lost, and a new one is established, the new connection comes up with a new extension to the MIB value for the tcpConnTable (is there a wild card I can use as the argument); this is due to the tcpConnRemPort (source port) for that connection changing every time the connection is re-established.
Please help.
