As it happens, I am still setting this up, so it is running under my account
which has domain admin level privileges.

Is the user that WUG uses have the capability to qo a NET SEND? Ie local
system user can only send to itself.

Yeah, I had a DBA who decided to test net send to the domain, for some
reason ( 2500+) users across many, many subnets! Now if only I could get
the WUG Winpopup to do the same.

Trust me, net send/windows messenger CAN traverse subnets. I was
'testing' one day and ended up sending a message to over 3000 users on
many different subnets. I believe it is more dependent on NT domains
than subnets.

I was wondering about that myself, but if it based on the Windows
Messanger, it should be able to cross subnets, much like a net send.

As far as I have been able to determine, Winpopups cannot cross a
subnet. If I am wrong on this, I would like to know the answer too. I
have been trying to do this for a while now.

I could use some help troubleshooting a win popup issue. My WUG
instance sits on a utility server on subnet A. I have configured Popups
for 3 workstations that reside on subnet B. I can succesfully send pop
ups to the local server, but not any other node on Subnet A or B. In
testing this fucntion, I get the message Winpopup Failed, but there is
nothing in the event log on the WUG server to indicate why this fails

Any thoughts?
