What about security? Can you manually telnet from the wug server to the unix hosts?

Betreff: [WhatsUp Forum] Telneting to a Unix workstation.. WUG script

So here I am scripting my way throught WUG, and come across this small issue. We are
trying to monitor telnet daemon on a unix server, and the best way to do this is by
telneting to the server.

So I created a custom service, for tcp/ip port 23 and added the following
lines:
Send=userid/n
Expect=~password:

and this does not work. It works for routers, etc, but not for any of my unix servers.
Any ideas???

Thanks,

-Harry

P.S. for the people with WUG crashing with C++ errors, I fixed mine by increasing
polling timeout from 1min to 2min.
