I don't think monitoring several IPs on the same card, that is, if the IPs are one interface, would be much benefit. However, without actually having done it, it seems if you may be able to make a custom service to monitor multiple ip addresses---by placing the appropriate statements...a shot in the dark.

I'm not sure I have seen any monitoring program allow you to monitor multiple
IP addresses using a single monitoring device. Every system I have seen you would
need to create a device for each IP address.

Jeff,
Thatâs what I have done also but I see it has a short term resolution.
Although it serves for the time being I think we should have the capacity of having
only one object, one set of information and service monitoring with several
interfaces, instead of several replicated objects each one with a different interface.
If I need to change the info line 1 or 2 on a computer with 4 network cards
Iâll have to change it on all 4 objects, itâs troublesome.
Can someone explain to me how to use the group icon on edit mode? I have tried
to use it but I have until now been unsuccessful. I select several icons, a new green
dot appears on screen but then I donât understand what have I gained with this?
Thanks for the feedback,

I'm starting to look into this myself. The unit I am really looking at is a
blade server so it has up to 40 different IP addresses and interfaces. Some are part
of the same and some are completely independent. I think for the quantity in the box
I have, it will be best to create a single map with just the items in the blade
system. Then in my data center map I can put a single container object in the rack
for the blade map. That way I have a single icon for the chassis and then I can use
the map for all of the detail.

Good morning,
In WUG, can we group icons?
I am doing some reorganization on several maps and one of the problems I have
is that I canât group icons.
I would like to grab a structure and treat it has one, is this possible?
(Example: a box with 3 routersâ)
Another question, what is the proper way to monitor several interfaces on the
same machine?
The Interface monitoring is only through SNMP, right? If I want to ICMP
monitor different interfaces on the same machine I have to create several objects with
different IPs?
