We've been using an Uptime Devices SH-2 (http://www.uptimedevices.com/new/products/sh.html) to do this. It's been working pretty well for a couple of years now. We also use Sinetica Netcom (http://www.sinetica.co.uk/netcom.htm) boxes, which do temperature, humidity as well as dry-contact monitoring - this is useful for monitoring things like alarms from your UPS, aircon etc - we use them to know when our generator is running, and other building plant.

Both of those boxes are monitored by SNMP, so you just create a new Monitor in WUG, with the appropriate OID. The Uptime Devices box will also send e-mails directly, if you configure it to do so.

Best Regards,

Howard

Subject: [WhatsUp Forum] Anyone configured temperature alerts?

Anyone interfaced Datacenter temperature with WhatsUp Gold? For example, if the Datacenter exceeds 90 F then get an alert over Pager. Please share if a viable solution available.
