Pete, It was fairly quick and painless in v8.0 to move maps over from previous versions, so I would hope that the programmers took that into account when moving to the new version from a previous version and created an easier way to make the move to v9 than to manually re-scan each network and re-customize them all over.
If we have to port them over manually, is there an manually initiated method during the upgrade to "import" the existing maps into the new formats or am I going to find it easier to just rescan the entire network and eliminate those devices I don't wish to monitor and then recustomize for only those services I care about by direct comparison of the existing system (I can see the increase in scans during the migration chewing up quite a bit of bandwidth until it's completed and everything is properly compared) Also, will there be a way to import the existing logs and misc statistics files over to the new version? ------------------------------------------------------------ Bryan Harrell, SPII Network Infrastructure - Tallahassee Fla. Customizations will need to be moved over manually. Cheers! pete.;1 -)-------------- Peter H. Jenney Product Management Ipswitch 10 Maguire Rd.
