Hi Gang,   Let me nip this one in the bud.  We simply ran out of time on this and decided to ship with all or nothing security for the web interface, map based security will show up in a service pack in the coming year.  The priority was set on LDAP/Active Directory authentication, SSL and IIS compatibility, which provides a solid basis for an effective security system.   Also note, WhatsUp Professional and WhatsUp Gold will run side by side.  If there are features or tweaks that are missing that make it absolutely impossible for you to move over to the next generation platform, stay with Gold and let me know what the item is and we'll prioritize it appropriately and get it into a service pack.    WhatsUp Professional is a completely new product. All new inside and out.   It's faster, cleaner, more open, far more powerful and the foundation for the product line going forward.  It also represents the knowledge gained from observing thousands of users over many years and we believe it's a pretty great tool.  I believe that you will too once you start to work with it.   Another thing to nip in the bud is the "Enterprise" product.  Most of you are aware that earlier this year we released a bundle called WhatsUp Gold FT Premium which included the application monitors and the failover support.  The product that is referred to in the road show is the replacement for the FT Premium product and will include the same type of application monitoring support and a bunch of other new support as well. Yes it will be more expensive--just like the FT Premium product is more expensive than WhatsUp Gold.  But like the two current offerings, they are alternatives, not mandates and you can choose to move to the higher end product or stay with the base product.   Cheers! pete.;1 -)-------------- Peter H.
