You can snap to grid by right-clicking and selecting display > snap to grid, or you can use the grid toolbar. Turn it on first by selecting View > Toolbars > Grid. There, you will see the snap to grid icon, and the increase and decrease grid icons.

What about the grid lines. Is there a way to “snap to grid” anymore?

You can zoom in/out on a map to make it whatever size you need.  To make the real-estate larger, move an icon out to widen the map. If it looks cluttered, try right-clicking on the map and clearing Display > Device Icons. You will then see colored balls instead of icons for your devices.

Your map will auto-size to fit the number of devices.

In WUG v8 web server there is a function to define a screen size 1024x1024, etc.  Is there a WUP function similar?  We have couple maps that need a lot of real estate on the page.
