I have used whatsup gold for 2 years now. Just bought the Whatsup PRO and like it a lot. Now here is the problem...
I use WRAP single board computers with (2) 200mw radios in them and the MikroTik OS. One radio is AP other is Link back to NOC. The MikroTik is SNMP controllable. Great so far. The OID I am interested in is .1.3.6.1.4.1.14988.1.1.1.2.3.0.2.111.51.194.1.3
The last 6 numbers is the MAC address of the radio I want to monitor (RSSI) , the first 13 numbers is the OID for RSSI in the MikroTik OS. RSSI for those that don't know is (Relitive Signal Strength Indicator RSSI )
The number is from -95 to -10 representing DBM signal strength. The lower the number the better the signal (-10 better than -20)
The SNMP graph of Whatsup PRO works GREAT.
Now I can at a glance on one graph see all my radios RSSI and watch for trends in the RSSI like tree foliage in spring blocking the signal and reducing RSSI. It also shows the trend if an antenna or coax is going bad over time. Shows also instant failures of the radio by getting an ERROR reading.
Now for the challange.
Can this number (-95 to -10) be imported or whatever and used as a label next to or above the radio symbol on the map ? Then just by looking at the map we can see the RSSI of each monitored radio along with the status. Further, if the RSSI got worse than say -88 could WUP notify me via e-mail or a signal of some sort ?
Thank for a good tool for this WISP.
