Yes, Get nncron. It is a windows version of the Unix cron. The nncron lite is a free version of nncron. Nncron is slightly easier than nncron lite but once the trial runs out on the paid version, it generates a pop up message every so often.
Nncron will run your script every minute. Use your script to over write a custom page at your chosen interval and set up Wug to check contents of your custom page, right there in the wug web directory. I wrote a more detailed version of how to do this about a year and a half past. It may be in the archives. But this simple instruction is all you need.
