Hi, I have a web server which I monitor it’s own interface but that server has about 10 additional network interface to host website. I monitored these web sites with the Active Monitor – HTTP.

The problem I have is that if a web site is down, WUP is giving me no other information than HTTP (Down). So I have no idea which web site is down.

Does anyone have an idea about that problem?

Thank you

Objet : ***SPAM*** RE: [WhatsUp Forum] WUP upgrade

Please be advised, that by using the default WUP install, MSDE will be installed in such a way, that it is dependent upon the WUP service. and visa versa. This means, once you are finished transferring your WUG data over to your WUP installation and want to get rid of the local MSDE, the WUP service is affected as well.

In order to have an install without a local MSDE, you may have to reinstall WUP from the start.

If you want to import maps and use MS SQL Server you will need to first import the maps using MSDE and the auto-import feature during installation; then move the MSDE data to a SQL database.

Subject: [WhatsUp Forum] WUP upgrade

All,

I'm ready to upgrade to WhatsUp Pro on a test system.  I've copied all my WUG 8 files over and everything is working properly.  I recall reading on the list people having problems import maps if the install was on a seperate drive.  Is there a "fix" for this issue yet?  Also, I want to use MS SQL instead of MSDE.  Have there been any problems configuring this?

Thanks in advance.

~Lora
