We are a small WISP in a very rural area shielded by the mountains from ABQ. See my http://uphi.net site for more details. Our equipment at most repeater sites is a WRAP single board computer 12 vdc powered (solar) with 2 ether ports and 2 radios. One for AP and one for link back to NOC. Some repeaters use one of the ethernet ports to have a Smartbridges APPO AP connected. Problem with that is ability to monitor customer RSSI and Link Quality. BTW I have clients from -88 dbm to -60 dbm signal strength. My clients enjoy at least 300 Kb/s speed most with over 1 Mb/s. I have only 30 or so clients with 6 repeaters and 1 T-1 line so far. Government grant helped start this thing 3 years ago. Hope to cover most of mid and eastern NM before long. What's everyone else doing ?
