I am having an interesting problem.

The other day we ran a security sweep of our systems using Nessus. Since then, WUP has not been working properly.

The "Ipswitch WhatsUp Engine" service dies when I try to connect using the web interface. A running process "nmservice.exe" generates a Dr. Watson error with an access violation message. The nmservice.exe is in the WUP directory.

We are running a fully patched up version of Win2K server on the box.

I don't really care what caused the problem - just how to get it fixed. Any suggestions?

Joel
