Thanks Steve, now it is working
I believe this still remains an issue though, if no validated 'Authorized DN:' is in place and you have an user setup to authenticate against LDAP the web interface login will authenticate that user with any password
IPSwitch, can you put in place some level of validation to avoid this from happening?

Andre,
When you put information in the "Authorize DN:" do NOT put in a user
name--put in a variable like this:
CN=%s,OU=SomeOU,OU=AnotherOU,OU=Departments,DC=SubDomain,DC=Domain,DC=TopDomain
Of particular interest is the "CN=%s", the login script will replace the
"%s" with whatever username/password combination you put in the test
blocks.

Hi, I configured my WUP on a W2K Pro to be able to use my domain controller
with LDAP. So after couple hours, I finally have been able to make it
works. Well, thatâs what I thought! Because the way I configured my LDAP
cred. let anybody who knows a username able to log in, even if itâs not the
right password.
Here is my LDAP cred:
LDAP server: server_1
Port: 389
(I havenât been able to make it works with the others options of the LDAP
Credentials.)
So, with these credentials and after creating a username and assign it the
LDAP auth, I tried it. And like I said before, if I enter a good username
â I can enter everything in the password field and itâs gonna works.
