You can turn off notifications in WhatsUp Gold.

Configure => Program Options => General

Uncheck "Enable alert notifications for all maps"

Can't you just stop the SMTP service on the box temporarily? Or have the .bat
file do it for you? Clear the queue before you start it back up.

Thanks,

Subject: [WhatsUp Forum] shut down e-mail notification in Whatsup Gold

Hallo,

How can I shut down the e-mail notification? We have over 700 Switches and
other Netwok devices in our netwok. We check the devices of availability with
Whatsup Gold v. 8.0. When we have problems in our network Whatsup send from all
devices an e-mail. Is ther anywhere a button to shut down the e-mail
notification or can I programming a .bat (.cmd) to shut down the notification?
When there is a alert I dont want to search in Whatsup to find the button. I
think the solution with a .bat is the best. Have anyone an idea?

Best regards
Keiser
