I am running WUG 8.04(HF1) and I am monitoring af bunch of
Cisco Cat3750 switches. If I right click on such a switch, chooses SNMP view, right
clicks on one of the interfaces and chooses monitor counters, chooses one of the
options and clicks OK, I get up the window where WUG should graph the chosen
parameter. I get no output on the grapf, and under “last” I
can see the following message: ERROR: 2 SNMP: No such name. I have discovered that this is because the instancenumber that
is being graphed is wrong. I have a suspecion that it is because the Cisco Cat3750 switch
has very high index numbers (>10000). Example: If I chose to monitor interface FastEthernet1/0/1,
WUG starts to monitor instance 4. If you chose the “Tables”, “Interface
Table” in SNMP View you will se that the indexnumber of this interface
actually is reportet/detectet as instance 10001, instance 4 does not exist in
the switch at all. Does anyone know a workaround on this issue? Kind regards / Med venlig hilsen Senior Network Consultant CCIE #11456 |
