Hey all, I just discovered this list. :-) Perhaps Ipswitch should put a link to this list on the WhatsUp Professional Support page as well as the Gold one...
In any case, from reading some of the archives of this list, it appears that talking about WhatsUp Pro is not off-topic, so I thought I'd share with some of you a few WhatsUp Pro "tips and tricks" that I have managed to get working. I posted them to the on-line forum, so to keep this message concise I will point you to the respective threads on that forum. I have coded up some CGI applications and developed some modifications to the WhatsUp ASP pages that adds on-web Ping, Traceroute, and device management links/tools to the WhatsUp Professional web interface. You can see some screenshots and download and use them for free: http://www.ipswitch.com/forums/shwmessage.aspx?ForumID=14&MessageID=4954 Also, in answer to this question from this mailing list a few weeks back... http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/msg10111.html ...I also figured out how to install the WhatsUp Professional application/console on any machine and have it talk to the WhatsUp Pro database on the main WUP server. This way you can avoid having to remote desktop into your WUP box in order to make changes to maps and such. http://www.ipswitch.com/forums/shwmessage.aspx?ForumID=14&MessageID=5032 Happy WUP'ing, -- Nathan Anderson First Step Internet, Inc.
