The username will depend on the CN you use for your users. We changed our CN to be Last, First (for Exchange purposes). So our users will have to login using that format.

Yes, LDAP will work.  I have it working with Active Directory.  The DN is very specific.

 

Here is the DN I use:  CN=%s,OU=Networking,OU=IT,DC=hpinc,DC=com

 

The CN=%s does a replacement of the actual user name.  Also, the user name is the active directory display name so it is “<first name> <last name>”  without the quotes and with the space.
