I've created WUG icons from Visio with a different approach. I use a
little utility called 'pic2ico.exe'. First I open the visio template,
then hit 'Print Screen' to do a screen capture and save it to a file via
paint. Then run pic2ico and load the jpeg/bmp/gif/etc... And move the
box around to select the area to save as an .ico file. I've done this
for some cisco icons, firewall icons, ups icons, etc... It's been a
while since I've used it, if I find the app I can email it.

Subject: [WhatsUp Forum] More Icons

When my message came back to me in the forum (New subscriber) I saw the
link to Archives (Which I hadn't found on the WUG site) I didn't find a
message with a set of icons I can download, but did find a message about
how to create the icons I want from Visio icons. If no one posts some
precoverted icons I can use, I will convert the ones I need following
this info here.
Thanks to the original poster.

Other than the BekArts collection of Icons, which are quite nice and
appreciated, does anyone know of other sources of usable art for WUG?

Specifically I am looking for the Cisco Style icons for routers and
switches.
Such as shown here:

iagr
amCiscoIcons.gif

Though I would rather have the 2D version than the 3d in this diagram.
This
is exactly what I am looking for though, the two arrows in a rectangle,
(blue back with white arrows) for a switch, and the blue circle with 4
white
arrows for the routers.

lacking a location for the emf files, has anyone had luck converting jog
etc
to emf for WUG with something like Jasc Paintshop Pro and had success
using
the result?

Thanks for any comments,
        Bruce D. Meyer
