1. What other applications are currently installed and running on the server housing WhatsUp? [anti-virus, mail server, ftp server, sql, etc] 2. What virus protection are you running and what version? 3. Are you using Local MSDE or Remote SQL? 4. When does the CPU spike occur? When you launch the program, when you login to the web interface, randomly during polling? 5. Are you using our web server or IIS? 6. Does the CPU problem go away when you disable the web server? (note you would have to restart the process once it is in the 100% cpu state) 7. Provide as much detail as possible n the types of things are you monitoring (NT services, SNMP, TCP/IP checks etc) 8. Have you done any customization? 9. How many devices are being monitored? 10. What is the OS language? 11. What Regional Settings (for time) are you using? 12. What type of network card are you using? 13. Would you send us a copy of your database? 14. Would you send us the exported registry hive under HKLM\SOFTWARE\Ipswitch? 15. Were you running WUP 2005 and then upgraded to SP1 and then the problem started? 16. Did you migrate from your data from old WhatsUp Gold data? 17. Are you seeing any patterns in the Event viewer to indicate a problem with nmservice consistently?
