Bruce the check should be for cpuPercentProcessorTime.6.95.84.111.116.97.108 (or which ever that long value is) instead of 1.3.6.1.4.1.9600.1.1.5.1.5.

 

cpuPercentProcessorTime = 1.3.6.1.4.1.9600.1.1.5.1.5

Hmmm, that does seem to work in the Net Tools SNMP utility. But using that in MONITOR returns error. I wonder if that would work, or error when set up as a Service/Monitor?

I don't see a way to change to 'Get all Subitems) in service monitor.

 

I have the service/monitor configured as in the screen shot below.

I am not sure if Forums support screen shots so I will write it in text also.

Object ID: 1.3.6.1.4.1.9600.1.1.5.1.5

Check it for: Range of Values

Low Value: 0

High Value 90

Test fails when exceeded 10 consecutive times.

I am not sure, but I believe doing a Get All Subitems on 1.3.6.1.4.1.9600.1.1.5.1.5 wuold yield the 5 lines of values in your case. The 5 value is going to be much longer value string, ie: cpuPercentProcessorTime.6.95.84.111.116.97.108.  I believe this value would the same as the average for all.

I am trying to get a handle on CPU usage on a few servers. I am using this string:

1.3.6.1.4.1.9600.1.1.5.1.5.1.48

1.3.6.1.4.1.9600.1.1.5.1.5.1.49

1.3.6.1.4.1.9600.1.1.5.1.5.1.50

1.3.6.1.4.1.9600.1.1.5.1.5.1.51

 

To see each CPU in the net tools (SNMP)

 

I created a single Monitor/Service  and set it to Range of Values with a low value of 0 and a high value of 90. and test fails when exceeded 10 consecutive polls.

The Polls are 1 minute apart.

I figure if I get over 10 minutes straight of 90% CPU usage across 4 CPU's it would be good to know about it.

 

I currently only check for one CPU. Is their a way to check all the cpu's average usage from one Monitor/Service ? Or do I need to create four separate ones? I don't think four separate ones would make much sense.

 

Any help or advise is appreciated.
