Yes, this definitely is a concern
for us as well. In Whats Up Gold it seemed to cause A LOT of
timeouts resulting in the icons starting to change when the device was really
there and operational. One thing I did in Gold to try to counter
act this was to space out the polling times of the maps at odd intervals
which seemed to help some although you cannot do this in 2005/2006. I have starting testing this in 2005 (now
2006) but have not had enough tests yet to form an opinion if it is better at
not flooding the network. How many devices are you running when this
happens? We are running about 2600 devices and really did not have much
of a problem until we got above 2000. Thanks, From: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
[mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Robert Goodwin I just ran the upgrade on my WUP 2005 (my testing version as
I still do not run it in production) But one major concern is that all the monitors launch at
once flooding my network. Does anyone else have this concern? Rob Goodwin |
