Hi, I just upgraded our WU 2005 server to a new box with version 2006 Pro.
What I did was, install the same 2005 version in the new server, restore the database backup, copy the .wup, .wui and .txt files from the old server to the new one, and run the installer for 2006 Pro to do the upgrade. Everything seemed to ve working fine, but after a while, I realized I'm getting no alerts. All the devices in the old server had the action policy applied at the device level, not at the monitor level, if I see the device properties in the WU console, I can see the setting are correct, but the action policy is never triggered. If I add a new active monitor to the device and set an action policy on it, it works, if I set the implicit action policy, it works, but the old ones are not working, non of them. Any idea on what might be happening? By the way, the application was moved from a win2k box to a win2k3 box. Thanks and best regards Jorge R. Macías L.
