Another option is to monitor for a WinEvent generated when a protected
service is started, one that can not be shut down manually (like the RPC
Server service). When this Event is seen it is a good indicator that the
machine has rebooted.

Well that doesn't necessarily tell me if the server was rebooted only if it
was down for a minute or more. If you can think of another way please send
it through.  I was looking at "Event" options in whatsup but I wasn't
familiar with them.

How can I easily get an email alert when a server has been rebooted?  I am
currently using Whatsup gold 8.04
