Hi Martin,

Take a look at this KB Article, it details the creation of a dynamic group
that populates with devices containing a common attribute. The attribute
can be added via a Bulk Field Change or individually to your devices, and
should provide the functionality you are looking for:

Thanks,

J

Subject: [WhatsUp Forum] Dynamic group with devices from static group and
subgroups.

Hey WhatsUp List,

I have some trouble getting the group report disk utilization report
working. It will only show me a report if the group its pointing to is
containing devices directly, with no sub groups.

However our devices is in lots of subgroups depending on their location and
type.

The only solution I can see is to create a dynamic group which will contain
all devices from a static group and subgroups.

I’m not familiar with vb script but I recon this script can be modified to
do what I want.

Can anyone help me modify the script or have you got another solution to my
problem?

Any help is appreciated.

####The “all devices” script from WhatsUp”####

SELECT DISTINCT Device.nDeviceID FROM Device WHERE bRemoved = 0

Best Regards

Martin Madsen
