You indicate that you are aware of the previous proposals to provide a single element for all media resources. Are you aware of the counter-arguments against them? If so, what is your answer to them? At the moment all you've done is provide a marginally different syntax than what's come before, but syntax was never an issue with previous unified-media elements. ~TJ
