this will include a slight modification to the regex used in ec2 templates:
.*ubuntu-images.* not ^ubuntu-images.* as canonical have changed their naming
conventions.
Also, this will change the default ec2 size to t1 micro, which is less than 1/4
the cost of a m1.small.
