Good catch. I just generated the assembly manually (it wasn't generated as part of the howtorelease script), signed and md5/sha1'd the file. I uploaded the result to my apache account directory (so it's there, but not in maven repo). https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/WHIRR-127
Perhaps we should also add a short "checklist" of items that should be in both maven repo and the public directory (~phunt) as part of the howtorelease?
