See http://code.google.com/p/jclouds/issues/detail?id=469&sort=-id I think this is important for https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/WHIRR-233 and others where we use less instance ID driven approaches but more hard- and software selectors to find an appropriate image from all cloud vendors.
