By the way, I have a bit of code that I think might be of interest, perhaps of use to the core, including: AjaxFrom, a modified AjaxEventBehavior (to support key mapping), and associated javascript modules to handle the mapping and execution of ajax events client side.
If there's a preferred method of submission, please let me know. The code needs some review, since I took a couple of shortcuts, but my focus was on getting things going. The ideas behind, however, are solid. -jjk
