All,
We have succesfully moved our repository to subversion at the sourceforge servers. All future development, including Wicket 1.2 will be performed on subversion.
The advantages of subversion are numerous, and there are some disadvantages. We will be discovering both in the coming months.
Why subversion?
- a newer and better CVS (moving files around in the repository, atomic commits, etc)
We hope for:
- no more differences between developer and anonymous repositories
- better connectivity for anonymous users
What is not to like?
- subversion isn't supported out of the box by eclipse and netbeans, it is an afterthought by those projects
- unknown performance
Check out the subversion page on the sourceforge's Wicket project site to discover how to get your working copy of Wicket and its related projects checked out.
