Summary: ButtonLink script not submitting

Hi,
When I create a ButtonLink nothing happens when I click on it. The
Firefox JavaScript console reports:
document.getElementById("existing:form").submit is not a function
The generated script was:
document.getElementById('existing:form:hf:
0').name='forgot';document.getElementById('existing:form').submit
();return false
The form does have a id="existing:form" attribute.
