In my case it is caused by some (lengthy) XmlHTTPRequests
onLoad/onUnload. Although without the wicket-added "deleteWicketCookie"
it still doesn't flicker.
But i found another quirk while analyzing
this behaviour:
wicket just adds that "deleteWicketCookie('...');" to a possibly
existing onunload declaration. But i guess many people (including me)
don't have a trailing ";" in there onunload declaration, e.g.
