If you look at DataTable from wicket-extensions, you see this behavior
in practise.
So you have components that can be visible based on whether or not
other components contain data:
A simplified example:
ListView lv = new ListView("list", list) {....}
Label empty = new Label("message", "No records found") { public
boolean isVisible() {return list.size() == 0;}}
