+1 from me. It was me who originally suggested renaming the packages to Jonathan right when I first got involved in the project. Spring Framework did a similar package rename when they went to 1.0 RC1. I believe they are hosted on sourceforge also, so it might be worth dropping them an email to find out how they did it. Might also be an idea to email the owner of wicket.org to see if they would donate their domain name to the project?

+1 on moving it from me.

If there was a wicket domain available, I'd have suggested that option
but the only one that was available was wicket.org.uk, which wasn't
really close enough! Even though wicket.org is just a placeholder
domain, I think wicket.* is better than using a domain we don't
control.

As far as CVS goes, yes, moving is a pain in terns of loss of history,
but better sooner rather than later, where there's more history!

So, I guess wicket.* is the favorite here then.

this weekend)?

Chris & Juergen & Gwyn, can you bring out your votes?

i don't like either of those because they imply that a site called
wicket.org or wicket.net will exist. just calling it wicket.* will
probably prompt someone to google for wicket. just my 2 cents.

+1 but...

Wouln't it be better/ more confirming what people are used to, to have like

org.wicket

or net.wicket

or something similar?

Eitherway, I agree that we should leave the current com.* (might scare people
off) and make a change very soon.

i can't recall what lame-o argument i had for keeping the voicetribe
package name, but it would make a lot more sense to me now to call the
wicket package simply "wicket.*" this isn't likely to cause a conflict
and if the project ever moved it wouldn't need to be changed. +1/-1
anyone?

We are proud to announce the new and (much) improved design of the

We like to thank Wouter de Jong and Topicus B.V. for investing their
time in our project and come up with this elegant design.
