Category: core Group: None Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Submitted By: Juergen Donnerstag (jdonnerstag) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: the way autolinks are resolved
Initial Comment: Assuming you have a package structure like
pkg.mod1 pkg.mod1.sub1 pkg.mod1.sub1.subsub2
with component (java and html) in both packages
(directories) and you have a component in sub1 which
shall reference by means of [autolink] a component in
mod1. Than this is currently not possible because the
autolink is currently resolved relative to the
component containing the autolink.
May I suggest a twofold approach.
1) keep it as is 2) if not found assume the autolink contains the complete packagename.
Thus, the autolink in sub1 will look <a id="..." href="/pkg/mod1/MyComponent.html"
which is an absolute path. Relative ones are possible as well lke
href="subsub2/MyComponent.html"
which is currently already possible but with "." instead of "/" like
href="subsub2.MyComponent.html"
Any objections against that change?
Juergen
