yes. perfect english doesn't matter. getting across what it does matters. especially where there are whole class comments that are out of date like AutolinkComponentResolver.
i was thinking of checking in little task tags so we can make sure each file gets looked at. basically, i've replaced each opening brace at the top level with { // TODO finalize javadoc. in eclipse these will show up under tasks. we'll just go through and work on files until the todos are all gone. sound good?

before beta 2, i think we should divide the core up among willing parties and go beef up the docs for each and every method. things are pretty out of sync in some places and having to make nice docs may bring up some stuff we haven't thought about. there are about 300 files. but a lot are small and/or don't need much work.
