If you open a very large XML file in any XML editor - besides good ones like JEdit, UltraEdit, Vi, etc. that work buffered - will give you memory problems.

Every tried to open a 3 MB xml file in internet explorer? Do it now, and watch you memory usage explode :)

Well, if you open a very large XML file with the xml editor, it is easy to get an OutOfMemoryError, and I don't think adding memory would improve my mood using Eclipse on my laptop :-). I just use ultraedit for the large XML files.
