yeah, the code looked like it worked to me... ;-) nice job!

the only question i had was whether it supports multiple immediate nestings of <wicket:component>
the code looks only at its immediate parent. it seems like a loop must be necessary to get all
the way up to the first non-<wicket:component> container.

What I did already (and commited about 2 weeks ago):
- nested components are supported (test included)
- be means of re-parenting child-components. Thus <wicket:component>
is kind of transparent.

it's doubtful we're going to resolve the nesting issue before 1.0. it's
tricky and
almost everything will have higher priority. please report it though.
for 1.0, i
think we'll probably punt by throwing an exception if the
<wicket:component>
contains any nested components. however, in this scenario, you could
still use
presentation components like this to decorate markup that doesn't have
any nested
components. if we get an RC almost ready and we somehow have extra time,
maybe we can look at this for 1.0.

after a few hard days of working on wicket, i've got one lone RFE now
(add javascript support).

are there bugs or RFE's out there other than the one about form buttons
that aren't in the DB?
