martijn,

Undo is an option
But i think you see undo wrong
It is only a undo on component in wicket
Not model data.

So

Edit user/Save user/Back button (now nothing is rolledback don't wory)/chang something from the first edit/save again (This example just must work, but it pretty much does this already)

List of users->Remove a user/Back Button (complete list again)/ Now a link is clicked. Then a redo of the previous undo operation is going to happen and that is
adding the Component (mostly the ListItem) for are reconstructred). So that the component state is exactly the same again with the html state you see
Data/Models are not really touched., They can change anyhow in anyplace at any time.

Same for tab panels:

I see tab1, then i click on tab2, theb back button so the users sees tab1
Then when it does something on tab1. The undo operation first sets the tab1 back into the tabpanel..
So that the request can be handled and nothing is stale. (i hate stale :))

yeah, johan and eelco and i were just IM'ing and we also like gili's undo thing better so far. we've got a fairly concrete idea of how to implement it as well. i think someone should be able to get to this before i get there in an new experimental branch.

Undo is not *the* solution... it creates other unwanted effects, see my reply to Gili's requst... I think it is one option from a palette. Perhaps cloning *is* another.
