May I suggest that the componentName property in appsSettings does NOT go away (rename it to: wicketNamespace). The reason: I developed a kind of wicket based pre-processor to create 10+ static but localized markup files based on a single template and pluggable (database, file, etc.) localized text providers. And that tool requires some means to identify tag which are meant for the pre-processor only.
